There wasn't much movement around the school at night. Most students sucumbed to slumber and fell to their dreams and in some case nightmares. Bundled up in pillows and blankets, sleeping away. Not every student had that luxury. Two in paticular. One of those two had escaped the confines of her dorm, and was currently wandering around the school. Curfew was not meant to be thwarted, and the security system provided further control, but they both meant little to Taira.
She moved silently around the empty building, sharp ears picking up the sound of breathing. It was so quiet, none of the chatter and noise. She patrolled in the form of a small black cat, inky paws carrying her swiftly down the halls. She wans't sure where she was going tonight. She had no real destination in mind, so she just let her feet take her where they would. Maybe she'd go visit Kuro... Or maybe not.
The little cat stopped outside a door, and tilted her head as she considered the option. After a moments hesitation, she changed back into a human and pushed the doors open.
It was fairly cold in the gym, but she didn't shiver. He body didn't register heat quite like normal humans. She knew it was cold, but she wasn't. She wans't sure how to explain it. Prehaps why her night wear could be so skimpy. A pale green camisole with a black lace trim, teemed with darker green silk bottoms. Her feet were bare, blood red toe-nails glistening in the moonlight filtering through the windows.
Dark eyes surveyed the room, slowly. Taira moved into the center of the gym, turning slowy for further surveyence. She reached the center of the room, but she didn't stop turning. She began to spine, faster and faster. Her arms outstretched, head tilted back, she whirled on the spot. She wasn't sure why, but sudden;y she felt... happy. Luaghter slipped through her lips, the melodic beauty of it bouncing of the walls and and ringing into the night.

In one of his most used forms, Ashi was basking in the moonlight through the glass window. Quickly, his pointed hears perked up, and the two earrings on his left ear clinked together. He shifted to a sitting stance, and turned his head. His eyes glistened in the moonlight, as he watched the girl twirl gracefully, around and around, in the center of the cold, dark gym.
Ashi leaped from the high window, and landed on the bleachers; his claws scrapping on the wood. "Well, well....Having fun I see." His voice chimed, and echoed in the gym's walls. His red eye locked on the girl, and he planted himself on the floor. His swift movement was unlike anothers', as he changed back into his human form. Hand in pocket, he chuckled once; red eye glistening.

The sound of claws meeting wood reached Taira's ears instantly, but she ignored it. She had a good idea of what other creatures would roam the night with her, and it didn't alarm her. A fight was not high on her agenda at the moment, and if it did come to blows... Well, the brunette knew how to handle herself. Not to mention her brother would no doubt pick up on it and come barreling in-
"Well, well....Having fun I see."
She stopped suddenly in mind twirl, inhuman grace showed clearly in that simple movement. Her eyes locked onto the now human form of Ashi, and she threw him a dazzling smile. It was on her lips for a second or two before it was whisked away.
"Yes, I was. Time to kill and all. Shouldn't you be all tucked up in bed like a good little boy?"
She inquired, right hand rested loosely on her hip while her head tilted to the left with the question.
ooc: terrible. Dx

Ashi growled, showing a fang. "Don't push your luck kitty cat." He let out in a low whisper. "I'm not a sleeping kind of person....I'll go back around 2 maybe. If I inquire to. So, what brings you to the gym?" He asked, his voice chiming against the walls again.
ooc: it was fine <^^> sorry it was so short, i was at a blockage!

"Don't push your luck kitty cat."
Taira mimicked the words perfectly, capturing the exact sounds; stealing his voice. It would be easy to believe that Ashi had just repeated himself, if it hadn't been Taira's lips moving. She smirked at him, idly exaiming her nails while he finished of his sentences.
"Moi? Oh, I was bored. The whole not-sleeping thing gives me time to kill. I can only spend so much time with my brother..."
She shrugged lightly, and then asked another question.
"I have to ask, why kitty-cat?"

Ashi growled again, but let it drop. "Kitty-cat, I heard your little paws taping the whole. way. here!"
He crossed his arms, his black shirt creasing.
"That's why. Why the mimicking Kitty-cat?!"
He placed a nickname for his new discovery.

Taira's smirk grew as she heard the reasoning. She nodded her head, causing the curls to bounce agaisnt her chest.
"I see... You mean like this?"
Faster than a blink, the small black cat was upon the gym floor. The tail flicked idly for a heartbeat, and then it flitted to the far wall and back, the speed faster than many eyes could follow. Then she was back on her limbs, brushing a crease from her pyjama's.
"It's interesting, my clothes never get lost when I shift. Unlucky for you."
She tipped him a wink, and laughed softly. It did make her wonder somtimes... The clothes issue that was. Most shifters lost garments, or had to wear certain styles. Not Taira. Her's jsut popped in and out of existence it seemed. Maybe she'd ask her father one day. He'd know. Then again, she wasn't likely to see him any time soon. Maybe it would just have to be a mystery. Oh, she liked mysterys.
"Why not?"
She countered his question, laughter dancing in her eyes.

He sighed and gave up. "Ah, you're fast like me." He was gone. There was a raven circling around Taira's position, and it disappeared again. There was a silent thud and a black, slim jaguar stalked after the girl. "heheheh" He chuckled deeply, and slunk to the ground, his tail flicking back and forth. "You have a point kitty-cat." Ashi flipped onto his back, and stretched out his long furred body, tacking the size of one and a half dinning tables. "Well, I was taking in the moonlight before you came in, but it's too high right now." It came out as a sigh, he turned to one side, and licked his neck. Just as quick as Taira had, he changed back to a human. "You're the lucky one, by the way. Because something would have happened if you were to be naked." He returned the wink and took the shape of a small black cat, and jumped to the wall, and sat on his place in the window sill.

"Apparantley the children of hell are all very fast."
Her tones sounded almost bored, as if she tired of such conversations. In truth she relsihed in the speed, the inhuman grace her semi-mortal body possesed. There were few to rival her; it did wonders for her allreayd ample confidence. Even so, she had to admire Ashi's lithe form and speed. She wouldn't show it, but she would think it.
"Let me guess. You'd drink my blood? Good luck with that one chuckles, it mgiht do you more harm than good. Besides, my father and brother might come and eat your soul... Or something along those dramatic lines."
Her voice made it hard to tell if she was serious or teasing. Calm, still almost bored. Her expression was serene, and truth be told, Taira did know if it was true. She had no idea what her father would do. Kuro, defnatley something along the soul eating lines. Her father would either be happy to see her safe home in hell, or go and well... smite something. She was half tempted to go and tempt fate, start a fight to see what the reactions would be.
There was the rustle of a sigh in the air as she brushed away those thoughts, and her delicate cat form joined Ashi's on the narrow ledge.
"Now your kitty-cat, really is a kitty."
She remarked idly, shooting him a sideways glance.

Ashi chuckled. "I guess she is." He replied, in a fast mumble. "I wouldn't, I can control myself most of the time...." He let out a deep sigh, and lowered his head, looking at his paws. "Except....that one time." He turned his head and jumped down. Quickly he padded to under the couch's table. "no-nothing....Forget it kitty-cat!" He sighed again, and laid down on his side.

"So you've killed people. Big deal. No sweat."
Her tones were light, and it did sound as if Taira truly wasn't bothered about the death and possible draining of life. In truth it did, but she'd seen it before. She'd seen it when her brother lost control, when the memories of fire and screaming that didn't belong to her turned up in her head. That reminder of home, calling her back when she died. She assumed her father had put them there for that sole purpose, but she couldn't be sure. She'd never spoken about them, though she guessed Kuro shared them. Them being the same mistake and all, or at least that was how the family referred to them Some family.
Her thoughts turned back to the cat who had suddenly fled for the shelter of a desk.
"Oh, I'm not worried. You clearly are though. You might as well spill it, I'm sure it can't be that bad. I mean, c'mon. What did you do?"
She kept her tones casual, but leapt lightly down from the windowsill and padded closer. Her curiosity was growing.

"I killed....My family...."
He turned away, ashamed, from Taira.
"Sorry."
He apologized for no reason. He knew she had nothing to do with it, yet, he felt she did. Why was he talking to her, escaped him by many points. Then something hit him, and his anger turned him from a small cat, to a roaring big black panther.
"Did You Call Me 'Chuckles'!" He growled. "Oh you're asking for it Kitty!" Ashi growled playfully, and bared his fangs, then pounced at the small cat.

"Oh. Well that's not good is it."
Taira had no real skill when it came to dealing with emotions. Or if she did, she didn't employ these skills often. Killing ones family was probably not the best thing for somebody concience, but it wasn't... unusual. When Marked lost control, it was often the closest to them that came to harm. Families were hurt a lot.
"Whoa. Way to overreact... Chuckles."
She managed to slip in the snide remark, before she leapt nimbly to the side to ignore the crashing tackle of the panther. Her shape changed, and then a silky golden monkey was perched on roof rafters, peering down at the growling panther.
"What's wrong with Chuckles anyhow? By the by... You missed me."

"Kitty, you're asking for it!"
He growled again at the monkey. Ashi took a willing step forward, and his shoulders pumped up and down, like he was about to jump.
"I've never gone anything other than a big cat....So I'll test my skills with you only. I've never shown anyone others before!" He disappeared, and changed into a python, slithering up the wall, and wrapped himself around Taira's body; using his speed.
"Got cha!" He hissed, his open mouth inches from her nose.
"Sssooo, what now kitty?! Anything elsse?"

It wasn't exactly comfortable having a python around her body, but Taira showed no discomfort. Actually, she just smirked her little monkey smirk right into the pythons mouth.
"You want to know the difference between you and me?"
She paused, letting the sentence hang in the air for a moment before she answered her own question.
"I can turn into anything."
She whispered, and then she slipped free. Simply because her body had changed. In a split second, the monkey had gone and a needle slipped through the space the monkey had previously occupied. Within moments of the freedom, the needle suddenly changed and an eagle soared around the room.
"Of course, I do have to hold my breath if the object can't breathe on it's own."
She added, matter-of-fact.

"You're truly amazing Kitty!"
He stated, and became a red-tailed hawk, soaring with Taira around the gym. Just as quickly, he changed into a blue jay, and landed.
"Down kitty down! Quick!"
He panicked at the sound of footsteps, and quickly changed into a mosquito. They weren't noticeable as much as an eagle flying around. Oh, wait! He was a male, they're huge. Who ever was coming was bound to squish him. As the gym door creaked, he shifted into a flea, and hid under a paper on the table.

"I know."
She responded simply, calling out her laughter as she circled the gym. Then suddenly he was freaking out, turning into little bugs and generally making a scene out of... footsteps? Wierd.
Wait.
She knew those footsteps. They were familiar to her, like her own hand. The door opened, and a tall figure stepped inside. Even in the darkness, the flash of golden eyes was unmistakable. Taira dropped like a stone, landing gracefully on the ground in her human form. Inches away from her twin. He didn't even blink at her sudden appearance.
"Tee, you okay?" "Yep, just fine. Been proving how much better I am than Chuckles. I think he's starting to get the point." "Okay... Hold up- Who's Chuckles?"
His eyes skimmed the room, searching for this elusive, person ro creature that had been spending the night with his sister. Without concious thought, he reached out and pulled his sister closer. Allready in big brother mode.

Out of Ashi's small freak out attack, his defenses changed him into a pitch black wolf. His red eye didn't make matters better.
"Eheh, I'm...Chuckles. According to Kit--I mean Taira."
He changed back into a human, and kept his distance to the hugging twin of Taira's. Not sure of what to say next, he flicked Taira a calm, glance. He was in his normal mode around others. Calm, alone, and at times a monster.
"I'm Ashi. You are?"
He asked calmly ready to turn, if he had needed to.

Kuro's eyes narrowed and his hold on his sister tightened. She didn't try and fight his hold, for three good reasons. One, she wouldn't win, secondly, she was used to her brother freaking out about these things, and thirdly, she was amused by it all. Especially watching Ashi skirt around the pair. So she just leant back against her brothers chest to watch the scene unfold.
"Ashi Mitsuki."
Kuro snarled, making the name sound more like an insult rather than a title. Taira laughed.
"Or Chuckles."
She chimed in, giggling slightly.
"What are you doing near my sister?"
Kuro demanded harshly, his eyes burning slits. He'd heard about Ashi's abilities, and he knew what the other male could do.
"If you hurt one hair on her head..."
He snarled, hands curling into fists as he let the threat hang in the air.

"Don't worry. I won't and didn't."
Ashi flashed a grin. But then he looked at Kuro, and how protective he was for his sister.
"May I ask how you know my name?! Because it would be really cool if you knew my full name. Nobody ever guesses it right."
He tried to calm down the aura in the air with light conversation. Which for him, was a brain raking challenge. Trying to make Kuro guess his middle name was a good starter. Literally no one ever guesses it right. Then again, his mother did call him that when he was born. Most people got it wrong because of the meaning, and appearance that his name brought. Evil Angel, brought dark, images, and names to others' minds. They even guessed the most idiotic ones as well.
'demon.' 'moon' 'killer' No, no, no! None....But since Kuro got his first and last name right, without him introducing his last name, he was willing to give him a shot at it. Besides, the poor guy needed to relax, even at the slightest.
