If students happened to be out of bed and wandering along the corridors, then they were likely to be in for a mildy disturbing suprise. For if a creature was to look into one of the classrooms, they would be met with an unsual site. Dozens of black and red candles were scattered around the classroom. The desks had been pushed against the walls to clear a large space in the center of the room. Most of those candles were arranged in a large circle in the cleared space. Their flickering glow cast an eerie glow upon the otherwise dark room. The glow illuminated a figure sat in the center of the burning circle. Tairadenai was sat cross-legged, hands resting on her knees. She was clothed in the nightwear she donned out of habit. This evening it was a construction of pale green silk. Dark curls tumbled down her back, nothing to pin them or otherwise restrain them. Her dark eyes were closed, and the red lips were moving slowly, shaping strange words. The chant was uttered so softly there words were almost impossible to capture, but there was something soothingly repetitive about the structure of the strange mantra. Taira needed to meditate sometimes. Just to collect her thoughts and have the retreat back into the safety of her mind. It was a calming ritual, something she often resorted to in times of stress. Candle-light and familiar words were like a blanket of reassurance to wrap herself in, and she was indulging herself in the luxury that night. Her head was full of muddled thoughts and emotions and she'd found her actions becoming slightly irrational and her judgement impaired. She doubted anybody had really noticed, it was only a subtle shift in her demenour. However, Taira had noticed, and she wasn't about to let herself lapse... Faces and words swam in her mind, a complicated net of tangled relationships. It was choking her, strangling her with the confusion. But Taira just did what she did to make it through; she took a deep breath and then she just kept breathing. Keep breathing, keep surviving. outfit

Ashi, tired as hell, strolled down the empty hall, and wondered something. Why was it like a ghost town in this one hall. Sure it was a Saturday, but it had to be a little bit crowded, right? He put his hand on a random door, after smelling a lushing scent of candle, opened it, and walked in without thinking, or looking. He froze mid-step to a lovely figure of light green sitting on the floor, and he looked frightened, and pondered. "Umm, hi Kitty....PLEASE-DON'T-HURT-ME!!! He flinched back at the last sentence he said. He'd said it so fast that it formed itself as a word, instead of the proper sentence it should have been. The black, not gray, but black, circles under his eyes matched his cotton sweat pants, and black, with red stringed pajama shirt. He didn't have his necklace on, nor his chains. His hair was messy, and he could barely keep his eyes open, just enough to look at what was in front of him. He looked... somewhat... peaceful. ( Pajamas)

The door creaked open, and Taira parted her lips to tell whoever it was to turn right around and walk away before she tore off various limbs from their frame, when she heard the panic-ridden cry. Her eyes snapped open, and she turned the force of a glare onto Ashi.
The moment she actually saw him however, her expression softened ever so slightly. He looked so sleepy, and helpless. Very sleepy. She clicked her tongue as she noted the black circles under the boy's eyes; when was the last time he actually caught some sleep? She frowned for a moment, and then her expression smoothed into something unreadable. This was just typical. Here she was trying to reach that cold level of calm and sort out her thoughts, and he came in and messed it all up.
She exhaled softly, letting free the breath she didn't realise she'd been holding.
"I won't hurt you. Though it is ironic you ask that, seeing how last time we saw eachother you were asking my brother to kill you."
Her tones were low, soft and slightly flat as she tried hard to keep herself emotionless. She arched an eyebrow and looked over at the peacefully sleepy evil angel, waiting for his response.

"sorry, I just don't want to hurt you...Like he said I was doing,"
Ashi whispered lightly. His mood was always softer, more sweet, when he was extremely tired. Which is the reason why, he tries to sleep at good times. He staggered to stand up straight, and nearly fell to his knees. He'd caught the door before he fell, and took in a deep breath.
"Trying to relax I see?"
He yawned.
"Can I help you....I can give you a massage."
He really was much, much sweeter now. More....innocent.

Taira resisted the urge to roll her eyes at his words. What was it with people trying to protect her from all this hurt? It was sweet and chivalaric but it was starting to get annoying. She wasn't something delicate and fragile that would break like crystal, she was tougher than that. However, she knew it was all with the best of intentions so she let it go.
She watched him stagger against the doorway, and was torn between the idea of staying cold and collected and helping him. He just looked so... Innocent? It was hard to remember that he was linked with hell and had nearly killed her when he could barely stand up. She watched him for a moment, and then the yawn sealed it.
She rose to her feet in a fluid motion, and crossed the room to reach his side. She moved carefully and slowy, evalutating him with her eyes. One sign she was too close and he was losing control; she'd be gone.
"No massage needed sleepy-head."
She assured him, reaching his side. She extended her arm and laid her hand gently on his arm. The tiniest amount of pressure was applied as she tried to guide him into the center of the room.

Ashi yawned once more, his fangs snapping together, as he felt the warmest of a touch against his cold skin. He was dragged out to the center of the classroom, for his unknown purposes. He'd thought that he'd fallen asleep for a second or two, but made sure to stay up. He loved her, he knew that. But after what had happened, he wasn't sure if anything like that would ever happen.
"Ok....what's up?"
HE said in the tiniest of a whisper, as his eyes fluttered open and shut.

It seemed Ashi dropped off a little there. Taira caught the two seconds worth of added weight with little effort, simply angling her hold slightly. His eyes opened again, and he carried most of his weight back into the middle of the room. She slid back down to the ground, pulling Ashi down ot the ground with her.
She was meant to be ignoring him.
But he was sleepy.
Taira had this strange issue with sleep. She'd never actually experienced it, but from what she'd seen it was a state of vulnerability. Of comfort. And it brought a softer side to her. She wasn't entirely sure why.
"What's up with me? What's up with you wandering around the corridor's when you can hardly stand up, hey?"
She chided gently, though her tones were soft.

Ashi's eyes shut, and it went dark. The warmth when his eyelids shut, felt like just when Taira touched his arm. Without thinking, his head, almost mechanically, rested on her lap. His chest moved slowly to the beat of her heart if you were there to listen and watch. His his was tussled enough, so he didn't mind when it brushed her silk pants.
"Nothing....Nothing at...all."
He refused to tell her that he was really looking for something to fill the empty void of her missing. The whole reason for loosing sleep. The devil sending nightmares....Nightmares of her leaving, over and over again. His lose of sleep, over her.

Suprisingly, the cold-cutting bitch that was Tairadenai Tama, had a suprsingly well honed maternal instinct. It was that instinct that kept her cooking, cleaning and comforting - Three very important C's as far as she was concerned.
The sleepless teenager sighed softly as the boy rested his head on her lap, eyeing those dark circles with mild concern. He really did need to sleep more. He actually needed it.
"You're an awful liar Chuckles. Especially when you're half asleep."
She observed, running a hand through the messy black hair. It was clear something was bothering him, just as it had been clear back in the gym. She didn't ask though, he was welcome to keep his secrets.

Ashi's ears pumped with a sort of thudding noise. Something that he could only hear in other people, not himself. Was...Was his heart actually reacting to Taira's touch?! He slowly moved one of his limp hands, and placed it over his chest. It was.
"Amazing...."
He whispered more quiet, if that was possible, from the last time. About ten minutes passed by, and his whole body jerked once, shaking Taira's body, the jolt was so strong. His dreams were bothering him again. Even though she was there. Right there, in his grasp, right there. A bead of sweat trickled down the side of his face, and his breathing got rapid. Why then, why now?! When he was happy that she was there. To just be there looking over him, or in the same room, he felt better. But these dreams, they haunted his memories of her reason to leaving. Any minute now, it would end like the others, right when she and Kuro walked out the door. When it shut, he'd wake up in a panic.

Taira followed the movement of his hand with her eyes as she detected the extra sound, the noise of a pumping heart. Three hearts were now beating within the room... Interesting. She didn't spend much thought on the issue, simply accepting it. It became apparant that Ashi had drifted off into sleep once more. Good, he needed it.
She sat there in silence, simply studying the candle-light and letting her thoughts swim as she evaluated the situation she'd got herself into. How had she gone from ignoring the boy to having him sleeping on her lap? Her thoughts were interruptted as he jolted, the move so violent it shook her own frame. She glanced down, and was suprised by the sudden change in expression... He looked scared, pained.
"Shush, shush. It's okay. I'm here, see."
She smoothed her hand through his tousled hair as she spoke, brushing her fingertips against his brow. SHe guessed he was having nightmares, but she couldn't be sure.
"You're safe. It's fine, trust me."
She assured the male, not quite sure how you handled nightmares. Wasn't something she'd really come across in the past. So she began to hum, a strange ancient lullaby, weaving the soothing notes into the air in order to calm Ashi.

Ashi's breathing evened out at a soft, old melody in the air. The atmosphere began to change a bit...more of a shift, as the humming calmed him. He felt her warm hands brush his face, and his muscles went limb. His hardened face smoothed out for the first time in a while, as he relaxed.
"Thanks"
He whispered. Just a bit more awake than he was before. He had his eyes open just a bit, and was facing her stomach. His body was turned to sort of curl around hers'.
"A lot."

"Well, I did get you pretty much murdered. I guess I at least owe you a good nights sleep, right Chuckles?"
She pointed, breaking off her melody for that simple speech. It was true, she'd nearly made him lose it all. She should have been more careful. The teachers were still being quite careful around the twins, and she'd been made to clean the blood away quickly. The school might have done it, but people might have seen and that would have caused more trouble. So Taira dealt with it quickly.
She picked up the tune again, raising the volume just a little as she recalled the lullaby, toying with the males hair.

"No....You didn't, this whole thing is my fault. Truth be told, the nightmares are about you leaving me. Truth e told once more, I'll say it again, though you may not care, I love you."
He'd repeated it again, but didn't care, he knew she'd never feel the same. Nor would she even let herself thin that way. But it felt good to say it again. Just once more, before she left him, ignored him, again.
"sorry"

Taira winced slighlty as the word hit her, becuase it was an actual physical pain. The idea of it being said to her was lovely, but it still hurt. She was sure he would have felt the twinge of pain going through her body, he was very close to her.
"Please don't say the words."
She whispered softly, closing her eyes for a moment. It wasn't fair really. That being told she was loved by another had to actually hurt. It went hand in hand with holy-water apparantly. Kuro could tell her he loved her, but maybe that was becuase they were of the same blood. Or maybe becuase it was a different kind of love?
"Besides, you're meant to be sleeping."

His body froze with hurt, when hers' shuddered.
"I knew it."
He accidentally breathed, out loud, instead of in his mind. He eyes narrowed, and he buried his head in her shirt.

Her hands came to rest gently on the back of the males head as he suddenly hid his face on her shirt. She smoothed down the back of his hair gently, not saying anything for a few moments. Just sat there, holding him.
"What is it that you know"?
She asked softly, her tones hardly above a whisper. She was pretty confident she knew what he was referring too, but then she was also fairly sure he didn't quite understand as well as he had suddenly exlaimed.
"Tell me."

"You hate me!"
He uncovered part of his face, his eye only moved to look at Taira's face. He looked like he was about to cry like a kid would. Hi eyes moist, and rimmed naturally, and from lack of sleep.
"You hate me so much, that you ignore me all the time. You forget me. But I never forget you. Never!"
He whispered lightly, looking away, but keeping his face uncovered.

Taira heaved a sigh. This was why she stayed out of relationships that actually meant anything. They always got so messy. With other people it was just that they were hot, and that they could keep her purring. With Ashi it was all... emotional. When people got emotional they got things wrong. Like he was doing now.
Her eyes narrowed slightly at the words. There were a lot of things that Taira didn't like, but being told what she felt was highly ranked on that list. Needless to say, Ashi's summary of her emotions wasn't taken well.
"Ashi... Shut the hell up."
She snapped, irritation in her tones. Her eyes flashed but she kept her hands on his head, teaisng the messy hair between her fingers.
"You talk a pile of shit sometimes, you know that right?"
She added, rolling her eyes at the boy.

He bit her then. His fangs stuck into her thigh.
"Liar!!!"
He growled, as he forcefully pulled himself up off the ground. He staggered a bit, and his knee cracked out of stiffness. That's when his knees bucked under himself, and he fell down. He was kneeling, so weak, so tired, and he fell on his stomach. He fell asleep on contact to the floor, he couldn't take it. It was unbearable! Try staying up for five weeks straight, just to avoid a nightmare or two.
