Nervous. That's about all Chewy felt, friday, as she headed for her garnet Volvo. She and Eiji were going into town. Alone. That was good, and bad.
Good because Chichu planned on finally telling Eiji how she felt and try to find out how he did.
Bad becasue They would be alone. All night. Without Yukai to keep Chu's bloodlust in check.
She was sure she could handle it- She'd just fed heavily the night before and they were going to a burger place that let her get hers raw. She had a plan (Kinda) and she was ready.
Exept for the part about working up the courage to tell him the truth.
She sighed heavily as she approached her car in the student parking lot, pushing the 'unlock' button on her keys so it beeped. She leaned against the volvo as she waited, squinting up at the pink crowds as they rolled over the setting sun.
"I am SUCH an idiot..." She muttered to herself with a sigh. There was no way this could end well.

Late. He was so late. Chichu was going to kill him. No, she was going to thrash him, drain him dead, revive him, just so he would learn something about time. Not that he didn't deserve it. See the thing about going on an date that wasn't a date, was that it brought twice the stress and problems as a regular, offical date did. It wasn't fair. So, as Eiji practically jogged across the school grounds to his friend's car, he was mentally chewing himself out.
Chichu was pretty. In a way that a preditor was pretty. Nice to look at, but if you moved too fast, or didn't move fast enough, you could lose a hand to her. Not that he would mind losing a hand to the girl. She was sweet, in her own way, and cliques just confused him, so the gothicness didn't bother him. For the most part. Still, it didn't make sense, she was a year younger than him. Why did his heart skip a beat when he saw her. Love is what some would call it, but Eiji would rather keep that word out of his head. Even if it was true.
As he came up to the parking lot, he could see the pale girl standing by her car and he swore softly, jogging the rest of the way. He let his eyes lock on her, and he could feel joy radiating out of him at the sight of her waiting for him. Maybe...maybe he should be fair to her and end his suffering and tell her. He could do that. He would just look her in the eye and...he couldn't do it. Or he could. With a frustrated sigh he came to a stop infront of her, panting.
When he caught his breath he gave her a quick grin, " Hey. Sorry to keep you waiting."
Then again, maybe he could.

She looked up at him, hearing his footsteps, a while before he was close enough to speak. He was always late, she reminded herself. Tonight, she would use patience as a virtue instead of getting mad.
"It's ok," She smiled, barely showing her razor sharp teeth. "I wasn't waiting too long. Ready to go?"
She raised an eyebrow, pushing off her car to take a single step toward him. Her arms were crossed almost restrainingly. What she was restraining herself from, she wasn't sure. She couldn't deny, though, that she was happy he'd actually come. It meant he wasn't that afraid of her, as some were. She'd tried not to put too much thought into what she'd wear; she didn't want it to seem too obvious how hard she was trying. Her short, plaid-red skirt had skulls printed on it. She'd tried to make up for her low cut tank top by wearing black elbow-length fingerless gloves (Which easily doubled as a replacement for her long sleeves that usually covered her insignia).
She tried to stay a safe enough distance away from him, as she usually did when they weren't sitting. She didn't usually allow any skin contact between herself and anyone but Yukai; the iciness of her touch was too easy a thing for freaking humans out. It was another way her fingerless gloves came in handy- sometimes she'd playfully slap Eiji lightly. That, for them, was normal. But her desire to reach out to him- to hold his hand or just touch his face- was not normal. It made her crossed arms tighten.

ChiChu was pretty. There is, and was no getting around that. Of that fact, Eiji was painfully aware. Hell, how could he not be with this fact practically slammed into his face, day after day? The casually grinning teen took in one of his dearests friend's appearance. Well. The smile faltered for a split second. That was going to be a distraction, most definitly. The outfit that is. ChiChu, was a different distraction all by her lonesome. With a sigh he stood his ground before speaking,
" We gonna go get going, Chu? You know I'll only be able to resist your dash board for so long. It calls to my feet."
Oh. Nice save. Not. It had been to forestall her stepping forward, in one way, but in another, he was totally starving. Best not to tell her why he was really wanting to get going.
Yeah, self- confidence thing wasn't working out too well. Honestly, when it came down to it, Eiji can be one of the most nervous people in the world, but on the other hand, he's one of hte most out going. Chu, was probably one of the only ones to be able to do that to him. Letiting the smile fall for a moment he turned towards the passenger side of the car before speaking yet again.
" Sorry if I seem in a rush, Chu. I'm just hungry. "
And after a moments hessitation, the brown haired teen added on a statment that could get him a positive reaction or get his head ripped off.
" You look good. I like the skirt. "
Mentally, he added, ' And the shirt. God bless that shirt.' Hey, he's a guy. He could look and enjoy.

"I understand how hunger can rush a person." She said and looked up at him, blinking slightly in surprise when he complimented her skirt.
"Thank's," She smiled after a moment, glad his eyes weren't sensitive enough to see the blush that barely showed on her pale skin. She climbed into the Volvo and looked over to him.
"But your dashboard-restraint better stay in-tact." She grinned at him, her whole manor teasing. Her hand was clenched descreitly in a fist where the charm bracelet Yukai had given her hung. She hadn't really taken it off since it was given to her, not that she'd ever say why. Not that anyone-even her-knew why.
