The day was crap. Wind and rain lashed agsinst the windows, the inhuman howling streaking through the corridors. On days like these, all you ever wanted to do was curl up in the thickest, warm jumper you had in front of a fire with a hot chocolate in hand and something to read in the other. Of course, it had to be a weekday. Weekdays always meant class, and that was what Jasper hated most about today. He was sat a the back of an english class, staring mindlessly out of the window as the video player began to judder and finally come to a halt. For once, he had nothing to do with it.
Fiera
The word wasn't even whispered, but the element to which this word belonged flared in to life. There was a scream as the video player was set alight. Jasper looked at the fire, seemingly as interested as anyone else. No one would know that the fire was started by him. However, as the thought struck him that if the fire alarm went off, they would all have to be lined up outside in the rain, he spoke another word. It wasn't exactly the word he was looking for, but it worked in the way he wanted it to.
Gilles-Haer
Techinically the word meant silence, but it would also be taken as muffling or cloaking, and that was what he used it for. Wrapping the word around the firm alarm, he prevented it from sending them all out in the rain. Heat was beginning to blaze from the lit videa player, but it was contained. The fire wouldnt go anywhere, and a smirk flickered over his smooth lips. A crooked smile pulled them up as his sparkling blue eyes glanced over the room, wondering if anyone had caught his lips moving. He would be in trouble if they had.

Things were never boring in Athena Academy. But Amai never ceased to be amazed when someone used their unique power. It amazed her that so many special people could be gathered in one place, making almost everyday like another chapter in a book for Amai. She was always very interested and right up front in the action when one of these moments flared up. And today, "flared up" couldn't have been a better choice of words.
Amai was always quiet in class, and a rather big "Teachers pet" for it. As always, she sat in her desk, wordlessly staring at the screen as a movie came to a halt, a big smile on her face. She smiled at the ending, and nodded as a girl leaned over to her and said, "Wasn''t that good?"
It wasn't good for long.
After a moment, the video player was sent aflame, making Mai jump and the bright light that always illuminated her dim. She knew that it was one of the students, but there were no plain fire-starters in her class that she knew of. Amai turned her head around slightly, just enough to get a good look around the room.
Then she saw him.
The only one who wasn't stunned by the sudden flare up, was a boy with dirty blonde hair and a baby-ish face with a big grin spread across it. He had stunning blue eyes that seemed to be smiling along with him.
Amai narrowed her dark brown eyes at him, but she kept quiet. She stared at him for a long time to see if he would notice he had been caught.

Smoke had started to billow out of the video recorder, fanned his way towards the fire alarm. He supposed that it would be a sensible idea to take off the silencing charm, but that would ruin all his fun. He couldnt help the crooked smile that crept steadily across his face, nor the gleam that flickered uncontrollably in his perfect blue eyes. This was just all too much fun. Casting his gaze around, for a moment Dengon almost had a heart attack. The teachers pet, Amai, was staring straight at him. It was like she was some kind of sniffer dog, come to hand him in. He resisted the urge to glare at her, it wouldnt do him any good to get annoyed by anything at the moment.
Raera
The word for water slipped out of his lips before he had time to think about what it would mean for him. There was an almighty rush as water spurted from the sprinkles. The moment the water hit him, Dengon shot up, a gasp of shock on his lips. The water was so cold it took his breath away. For a moment, he couldn't think of the way to stop it, and by that time, the beady eyes of the teacher was locked on to him. He knew the signal, the tell-tale pointing to the door. A sigh, followed quickly by the flash of a crooked smile, before he gathered his soaking things and exited the room. Dengon knew better than to walk off, so he settled outside the room, slumped against the wall.
Raera hef Kita
He muttered gently and the sound of the gushing water halted. There was the cry of outrage as students were reunited with their soaking things and the smile returned to his lips. He wasn't usually a trouble maker, but when things got this borning, you knew it was time to pick up the pace a bit... hence the fire.

Amai kept staring at him. His eyes were so full of happiness untill they fell upon her, that she almost felt bad about being good. Maimai was forever trying to keep people happy.
Yep, always the pleaser.
Which is why it stung her a little when his beautifull blue eyes lost their gleam.
Suddenly, just as quickly as the fire erupted, a spout of gushing water appeared purely out of air. Amai watched as it fell right over the boy's head. She had to suppress a giggle at his expression, but quickly lost her amuzement when the teacher sent him out.
The little angel girl looked over to the teacher.
"Uhhhm....may I go check on him?" Amai asked, akwardly. It wasn't the best way to ask the question, but the teacher gave in quickly enough.
Amai grabbed her books and hurried out of the classroom. She was walking so fast that she almost missed him.
He, like Mai and everyone else in the classroom, was soaked, but he didn't seem to phased by it.
"Hi!!" Amai chirped, waisting no time. Her big brown eyes sparkled, and her skin gave off a bright glow.

The water was beginning to soak slowly out of the room, at once making a puddle on the linoleum floor. Another chuckle escaped Dengon, but it quickly progressed so that he was roaring with laughter, clutching his side and rocking back and forward. The click of the clasroom door made him stop immediatly, though he stayed in his sitting position on the floor. Flicking his ruffled hair out of his face in a well practised movement, Dengon's twinkling blue eyes flicked up to see Little-Miss-Goody-Goody walk out. An inward sigh caught him. He couldn't hate her, it wasn't in his nature and it was in her powers that nobody could hate her. But she really did get annoying sometimes.
"Did you enjoy the show? Or were you coming out here to tell me that she has given me a detention? If it was the latter, then I already knew that..."
His tones were laced thick with the english accent that had always plagued him at this school. He enjoyed it, however, to find out that there were only four europeans. The two french cousins, Ryan and him. It made him feel that little bit special. Despite his biting words, Dengon let a smile flicker over his lips. His arms crossed over his stomach, showing the goosebumps that had begun to prickle at them.
"I'm terribly sorry if I sounded rude Amai"
He muttered gently, though he didnt put much meaning in the apology. For one that didn't often get in to bad moods, Dengon was doing a pretty good job of wroming his way down in to the blackness of the bad moods. Perhaps if he sat with Amai a while longer, maybe she would be able to cheer him up... He could only hope.

Amai smiled a little.
"Actually, I think the water bit was pretty funny."
She tried to ignore his heavy tone, but it still stung her a little, It was almost impossible to get Amai angry, but incredibly easy to hurt her feelings.
She smiled a little bit more, "No,no." Amai started, walking towards him, "I'm the one who should be apologizing-"
And that was when she became painfully aware of how slippery the floor was. Amai's left foot slid forward and then upward, taking her down and making her head smack the linolium hard.

There was something about Amai that made it impossible to even hold the evils you had intended to make her really uncomfortable with. Dengon could feel his eyes beginning to loosen, the frown on his lips twitch slighty upwards and the concentration lines on his forhead were quickly fading. It always amazed him that her just being her could do that, make someone feel better by smiling at them and talking to him. When she told him about the water being funny, Dengon couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him, no matter how annoyed he was that this goody-goody was the one that would probably dob him in.
"Well, I do try to amuse people"
He muttered gently, then watched as she walked towards him. And then, the world seemed to tip. The water glistening on the floor was a death trap and he knew it. But he hadn't expected anyone but the teacher to be out here, and that old bag slipping would just have been funny. As Amai slipped and fell, his wolrd seemed to slow. She was such a lovely girl that nothing bad should ever happen to her, and she should be allowed to live happily in her own little world. It only took a split second for him to jump to his feet. But he was too late. Her head cracked on the floor with a deafening thump and it took moments for the blood to begin joining with the water. Water always blood much worse, so within moment, there was a huge puddle of blood surronded Amai. Panic rose him, blocking out the words that would save her.
"Amai...?"
He was stupid. Saying her name wasn't exactly going to help her. The adreneline kicked in within moments and he sprung forward, scooping Amai up in to his arms. She was light, unconscious in fact, but light all the same. The wound to her head wasn't too bad, and Dengon forced himself to calm down. He set them both down a few feet away, laying her gently across his lap as he tried to calm his mind to search for the words that would bring her away from the pain.

Amai's eyes flicked open, brought to conciousness by the warmth Dengon's body gave her. Her bright eyes were dulled, and they slowly closed and then shot open again. The color had returned, but so had her senses. And her senses were telling her that her head had a gash in it and it hurt like hell.
Without thinking, she sat bolt upright, just barely missing Dengon's head. She gripped where the wound was and squeezed her eyes shut.
"Owwiiiie!" She cried, always her first response.
She forced one of her eyes to open and she even tried a strangled smile. "I-I took...a bad spill, huh?" She breathed.
