The tunnels of the Hive echoed with grunts, the muffled sound of skin on wood, and the mumble of two girls' voices, the words unintelligible from any distance. It wasn't hard, for any Hive member, to understand what the sound was.
Deep in the training chambers of he tunnels, a girl sat, her eyes glazed over and staring at nothing. It wasn't as though she could see if she tried; blindness did that to a person. But the sounds weren't coming from her.
In the middle of the room a stood a sturdy, aged pole of wood, another plank making it look like a cross, attached strongly. In front of it was the blur of a girl's form. She was glowing a pale silver, a moon pendant at her throat swinging with each of her practiced, deadly blows to the cross. With her fists, forearms, feet, and legs, she swung and battered at it. Any part of her that could be used against the offending wood was used, hitting so fast that, it seemed, as soon as she hit with one part of her, another was swinging around to hit the other side.
The entire activity would leave Luna's skin raw, when she was done, but she didn't mind. It was a technique she'd learned long ago when one of her foster families, who she'd actually managed to stay with for longer than a year, was apparently really into physical defense. It helped strengthen her skin and callous it, and made her nerves more resistant. Each blow would have distracted any other person, the pain too much to bare; but Luna had been doing this too long. She was immune to the pain. It was so natural to her that she was keeping up a conversation with her friend, Venus. Her words were grunts, muttered as she struck, while, in contrast, Venus's were soft, but rang with a musical air.
"-It's not as if I- AH! -care. Why should I?" Luna muttered, her limbs striking hard.
"Because you're human, whether you choose to admit it or not." Venus replied calmly.
"What is 'human' anyway? Aren't we here because we- UHR! -against humanity?"
Venus sighed. "Not exactly. We're here because we don't like being looked down upon." Venus smirked, slightly. It probably wasn't really that great that the slightest mention of vision from herself made Venus laugh. But she had the right to her twisted sense of humor, right?
"Right," Luna grunted. "I still say that- YAH! -humanity sucks ass."

Taira tilted her head to the left, noting the way such a simple gesture made her curls tumble. She tilted her head back to the right and observed the curls movement still. They shifted nicely with the tilt of her head, that she observed from her reflection. Sometimes the brunette liked to pause and study her reflection, to remind herself just how beautiful she was. Because she was beautiful, with the contrasting colours. Pale skin, dark hair and ever darker eyes. She realised few enough people noted this, with the honourable exception of Ashi. Except he was besotted with her. Besotted was a good word, as accurate description she could surmise of his feelings without using the actual word. A soft sigh slipped from her parted lips and she turned away from the mirror.
She moved easily down the halls, those in her path subtly shifting out of her path. She didn’t need to bother dodging anybody who happened to be an obstruction to her route, if they didn’t move it would be their blood-loss. Luckily for the student body, most of them had become aware of the fact it wasn’t a pleasant experience to get in the way of Tairadenai Tama. A few cast glances around, seeking out her brother but his bulky form was not in sight. A junior shifted uncomfortably as this was noted, it was terrifying to see the demon boy but not knowing where he was caused a large amount of ill-ease. His sudden appearances were not welcomed surprises.
Taira assumed her brother was off with his little bloodsucker, but didn’t think too much about it. She just clicked down the halls, humming softly to herself. She would have sung, but they didn’t deserve to hear her voice. Still humming, Taira descended unseen into the basements nothing bothering to stop humming. If people didn’t like it, they could just deal with it. Taira didn’t cater to their needs. Despite the high-heels elevating her height, Taira made little to no noise as she travelled through the twisting basement halls. Her keen ears caught the sound of words, and the unmistakable tang of violence. Altering her course slightly, Taira emerged into the room to witness Tsuki battering the wood, while Venus looked on. Well, she didn’t actually look on the scene, but that was where her attention was focused.
“What is it that don’t you care about then?”
She questioned the moon girl as a way of greeting, her tones were cool and calm betraying no emotion. It was impossible to tell if the girl was ready to break out into a song and dance routine or rip apart a freshman. That was just the way Taira liked to be, a mystery.

Venus's head tilted slightly toward Taira when she approached, a small grin growing on her lips.
"Anything," Luna snapped before Venus could say anything. "I don't care about anything!"
"And she lies wonderfully," Venus added with a solemn, obviously sarcastic nod. Yes, she had a bad sense of humor, but it was what made Venus Venus.
"I'm not lying!" Luna snapped, cutting her eyes to the blind girl for a split second before returning her focus to the cross she was beating and battering, small traces of fresh blood already spotting over the dried old blood.

Taira bit back a smirk at the other girls words, then arched one eyebrow. Touchy, touchy. A denial that strong was always a front for something, Taira knew this. Besides, Taira was a skilled liar, and it was apparant that Tsuki was not. Venus echoed the demon girls thoughts with her words.
"Doesn't she just V?"
Taira remarked, walking towards the blind girl. Now standing besides the war princess, Taira touched her shoulder breifly in greeting before her hand was raised so that the brunette could study her nails.
"Judging by the way she's going for that peice of wood, I'd say it was something allright. A boy perhaps?"
Her words were decievingly mild, though there was a spike of malice in the undertone that usually accompanied Taira's words. Her gaze darted towards Tsuki for a moment, before hse returned her attention to her flawless manicure.

"Perhaps," Venus nodded again, tilting her head toward Tai, again. "She was being very vague and insisting that she has a void of emotions."
This much was true. Venus had found her friend in there, beating up to planks, and wen she asked only got angry venting, though nothing about what exactly the moon-worshiper was made about.
A snarl tore from Luna's lips as she went harder, the room getting the slightest bit colder.

Taira laughed, and glanced at Tsuki again.
"A void of emotions, hey? You're trying to claim to me, that you feel nothing? Well that is simply ridiculous."
Taira said calmly, studying the girl attacking the wood. Taira's smirk slipped onto her lips as the feral snarl tore from the other girls lips, and the tempreture dropped a little. Not that it really bothered Taira too much.
"You're contridicitng yourself Tsuki. If you didn't feel, and you didn't care then you wouldn't be snarling like that when questioned, and you certainly wouldn't be attacking that bit of wood with such violence."
Taira observed in her usual cool tones. She folded her arms and gazed calmly at the girl.
"You might as well just spill it..."
She added.

With a sickening crack, Luna's leg swashed into the base of the wood, the upper half toppling over to the floor. Her limbs settled to her sides, worn and numb.
"I would have been training like that, anyway, Tai." She muttered, her voice nearly dead. She dropped so she was kneeling, then pulled her legs around so she was sitting criss-cross. All of her limbs were pink and raw-looking. "If I tell you... Do you guys promise not to tell a soul... Not even Kuro or Hebi?"
Venus blinked, but shrugged. "Sure. Why would I tell? No one listens to the blind girl." There was a humored indifference to her voice that almost made Tsuki smile, but instead she turned to look at Taira.
"Tai?"

Taira considered it for a moment. She was unlikely to tell her brother anyway, not that he'd be interested. Even so, she didn't like promises on principle. They were irritating little words, that people made too much fuss about. However, she lazily waved a hand in the air and agreed.
"Fine, fine. Kuro and Hebi are kept out of the loop. Now spill it."
She said, curious despite herself. First the violence which had made her limbs raw, and now being sworn to secrecy. It hinted to something, and Taira wanted to know what.

Tsuki's eyes fell to the floor, half out of exhaustion and half out of embarrassment.
"I did meet this guy-" She started out, but was interrupted by Venus.
"Knew it." Venus smiled. Another snarl came from Luna's throat. "Sorry..."
"As I was saying; I met this guy... I snuck out to Eastwood to use their gym and he was there. He somehow got me to do some gymnastics... And I guess I started to... Like him."
"Brilliant." Venus hissed. "So you asked him out? How's that bad?"
"I didn't ask him out." Luna muttered, turning her head away so they couldn't see her face- or at least so Taira couldn't. "I made a fool out of myself... and... Apparently he's Mimi's new guy."
As a rule, Members of the Hive didn't mess with other member's boy- or girlfriends. It caused too many problems, and, as result, punishment was sometimes implemented.

Taira listened with a smooth, unreadable expression. Even her dark eyes betrayed no emotion. Her smirk had gone as she listened to Tsuki speak, and unlike Venus she didn't interrupt. She was right, and that gave her a small amount of satisfaction. Typical. People got so worked up about relationships, it was ridiculous. Perhaps that was a hypocritcal claim to make, considering her recent freak-out over Ashi. But that was different.
"Hmm. So small, blonde and bubbly stole your man. Tough break."
She said softly, though there was a hint of laughter in her tones. It wasn't worth the promise of secrecy really, she wouldn't have told her brother anyway. He wouldn't be interested, dismissing it as 'girl stuff'. But Mimi? Intruiging.
"The real question is, what are you going to do about it?"
She asked, arching an eyebrow. Taira always got who she wanted, it was an unwritten law. She'd wanted Eiji, and she'd had him. It didn't matter that he hated her, she'd had him. Now she had Ashi. Which didn't show much off her skill, seeing how he adored her to the point it could be quite annoying. But no matter. This was one guy Tsuki couldn't have. It was quite amusing.
"I wouldn't suggest you try and take him though. For one, Mimi is a lot tougher than she appears and she wouldn't be happy. Secondly, if she doesn't kill you, Hebi will. You know how she get's about these matters..."
She shrugged her shoulders lightly.

"You don't think I know that already?" Luna replied coldly, her eyes, though down, narrowed.
Venus sighed, shaking her head. "Calm down, Moon-girl. Neither of them are gonna find out. Don't worry."
"Yeah, if only everything had Venus-logic easily applied. The only thing is that I dont know if he'd tell Mimi or not. And if she finds out, she'll probably get Hebi on her side and then- I'm screwed."
Tsuki pulled her knees up to her chest, burying her face against them.
"Damnit." She muttered.

Taira was often amused by how desperately emotional people were. Yes, she had her emotions but she was so much better at controlling them. Seeing Tsuki like this, was worth pitying in ways but also allowed the smirk to toy with her lips.
"Oh relax Tsuki. If Mimi finds out, she won't kill you for simply liking him. She'll probabbly take it as a compliment of her taste in men - I would. As long as you don't do anything," here Taira paused searching for the right word to apply to the subject, "stupid, you'll be just fine."
She said, rolling her eyes slightly.
"Wouldn't you agree Venus?"
She added, throwing the conversation in the blind girls direction for a while.

Venus shrugged. "I suppose, if we're lucky, we'll just never find out."
She smiled in the general direction of Taira. "But you're right; if she does anything stupid it will not end well. Otherwise, you might as well have never met him!"
"Greeeeeaaaaaaat," Luna muttered, dragging out the word. "Thanks for the help. There's no way I couldn't have figured that out."
"Hey, relax, Stella. We're just messing with you." Venus chuckled. "But still, nothing stupid."
Of course, that comment earned Venus a small pebble thrown at her head from Luna.
"Hey! No assaulting the disabled!"
"As if it matters, half the time." Luna snorted back, shaking her down-cast head.

Taira laughed at the exchange between the pair, observing the scene with keen eyes. Tsuki's downcast head was worrying her. Taira had a very well tuned maternal instinct, but that was both the demon and human side of parenting rolled into one pattern of behaviour. Which offered some varied results. Sometimes she comforted and soothed, sometimes she didn't. It was a risky chance. Zig-zagging, and dancing around like a rollercoaster. She eyed Tsuki for a moment, before she clicked her tongue in irritation.
"Tsuki pull yourself together!"
She snapped suddenly, her tones contrastingly sharp. In about half a second she'd crossed the space to Tsuki's side. She seized the girls upper arms, and with her iron strength, dragged Tsuki to her feet in a brusque, none too gentle movement. She wasn't as strong as her brother, but she was certainly a creature not to be messed with. She shifted her grip from the girls arms to her shoulders, making sure she was steady on her feet.
"Are you really going to let yourself go to peices over some guy? Are you going to give up and break down just becuase this one guy isn't interested? Are you that weak?"
She demanded in disgusted, accusing tones as she glared at the other girl. She even shook her (gently) to get her point across further. Then suddenly, inexblicably, her gaze softened slightly.
"I know you're stronger than this, Tsuki. You'll get through this, and you'll prove me right. Trust me, yeah? You're better than this."
She said in gentler tones, relaxing her grip once more though her hands stayed on the shoulders. Taira's methods of comfort were varied and unsual, depending on the circumstance. She often slapped her brother around the face when he was being gloomy, simply to snap him out of it. She offered Tsuki a flicker of a smile, and then stepped backwards.
ooc: powerplaying I know... Dx I'll edit if you want though. Sowwy. Just an idea I had in my head.

Tsuki was certainly surprised when Taira forced her to her feet. Her skin was still raw, her limbs weak. She couldn't help but wince. But what Taira said made sense; she'd never had a problem like this, before. Usually she had a good control of this part of her emotions. When her friend's tones softened, she smiled back, weakly.
"I know, Taitai. I trust you. I believe you." She said. "I guess I'm just being stupid, right? It's not as though it matters."
"Here, here!" Venus chirped, her feet tapping the floor so she could keep trac of where her friends were.

"Stupid as ever, yeah."
Taira laughed, teasing her friend slightly as the atmosphere in the room lifted. She even smiled again, and then a thought struck her and her eyes narrowed into slits.
"Did he lead you on? Becuase if he did, Mimi or no Mimi, I will kick his ass."
She said in soft, dangerous tones. It was one thing for Tsuki to fall for a guy she couldn't have, but if he'd made her believe she stood a chance and then ripped it all away from her... Well that just wasn't happening. She would make him understand that was not how her friends were to be treated. And if Hebi and Mimi didn't like it, then they could just suck it up.

"Well..." Tsuki hesitated, thinking back to the beginning of the night she'd met Cal.
"In a way, yes." She said slowly. "I interrupted him while he was doing some flips and gymnastics... and we talked for a bit. I told him about how I used to do gymnastics, and he wanted to see. But I was wearing a mini skirt... So... he let me borrow his pants, since he had some extra shorts on. I... I don't know... It was weird. And he was acting so sweet."
She shook her head. "Maybe I just let my mind get carried away, again. Nothing new..."
"Well," Venus sighed. "What do you say, Tai? Does this deserve a formulated plan, or not?"

Taira listened to Tsuki's words, curious to what happened. It didn't seem to be too much on the males part. Apparantley Tsuki was into guys that were, what was it, sweet? Taira resisted the urge to roll her eyes. What fun was there in that? Maybe she was just so discouraged from that idea becuase she thrived on the darker emotions. Taira needed anger and violence, it was her life support. The shadows curled around her, and she fed off them. She wouldn't be able to stand somebody was was sweet.
"I don't think it needs to be a formulated plan."
She stated her opinion with a shrug of her shoulders and accopanied this with a slight sigh. She guessed how Tsuki felt to some minor extent, but it didn't need a lot of plotting and scheming to justify the fact he was sweet and she got carried away.
"Just a general beating will suffice...Which I'm happy to deliver."
She added with a rather evil smirk curving her lips. It didn't need planning, but it could still be punished.
ooc; Taira gonna beat Cal and Ashi up soon anyhow. xD

Venus snickered darkly at her friends words, though her heart undeniably fell when she said there was no plan needed. Hey, she was a War-Goddess- What do you expect?
But then she sighed when she heard Tsuki groan. Of course.
"You can't do that." Luna stated, her head rolling back exhaustedly, her eyes closed. "If you did, Mimi would find out, then Hebi would. They'd know you did it."
Venus's shoulder's slumped, a frown creasing her face. "And then they'll want to know why we messed with Mimi's man."
"Which would not be good."

Taira was about to point out that she was reknowned for taking out her temper on the nearest person when she was in a bad mood, but then decided against it. If they were going to worry so much, then it really wasn't worth it. Too much hassel for what it really was, a way to sooth Tsuki's ego.
"Well, then I suggest you jsut need to get over ti Tsuki. Move on, find somebody new. Not that hard..."
Taira observed lightly, shrugging her shoulders. It was the most simple solution in her mind. Just grab the next guy, untill the one before was nothing more than a dim, blurry memory. Easy.
