He was shaking. Mimi frowned as she realised this, and then remembered he'd been out in that downpour and was shirtless. That wasn't the best way to conserve heat afterall. She would have thought that all that running around would have warmed him up, but she was wrong with those thoughts. Before she could think of some way to stop his trmeblings, he was still once more. She considered saying something about it, but then she saw her name floating down towards her. At his words, she couldn't help but grin. It was hers.
Eagerly, she leant down to pick it up from the floor. It was like a glowstick in a way, smooth to the touch but full of energy. It was a poor comparison, but what could compare to this? Who else could say they had their name embalzoned in energy? This whole evening had been unpredictable, and suprisng and she didn't think she would ever have another night like it. It had been brilliant, perfect even, but now the evening was drawing to a close...
As if to echo her thoughts, Cal suddenly stood. She went with him, not fighting the hold he had on her body as she was lifted into the air and then set on her feet. His arms were still wrapped around her, and she mimicked the action, keeping her own around him. She smiled against his chest at the words, and her smile grew as he lifted her chin. She was then aware of how close they actually were, and her eyes darted down towards his lips. They were very close. Acting on impulse, she stretched up on tiptoes and pressed a quick, fleeting kiss to his lips. It was over in a matter of seconds, and she danced out of his arms, stepping backwards across the hall, grinning happily.
"If I'm lucky."
Was her answer, and then with a giggle and a wink she danced from the room, tucking her glowing talisman beneath her top to save it from the downpour. A gasp and a laugh was the herald to her depature as she braved the rain. It was freezing, but Mimi only cast one glance back towards the gym with the same silly grin on her face, running towards the girl's the dorms.
As for the matter of that stolen kiss... Well, it had to be done. She felt no shame. She was quite pleased actually.
