When people thought of her they thought of Mezamashii Hatsumei. They saw blonde and bubbly Mimi and they spoke about how clever she was. With all her mechanical skills... That's how they saw her. The gadget girl, who could and would take apart any object you happened to put infront of her. Who would laugh and giggle, and could fix your car. That's how they saw her. That's who she was. But she was somebody else too. She wasn't just a mark on her skin, and a bright icy light when she was thinking. She was a human, and a person. She was Atermis Cassandra Agnovic. Sometimes she had to sit there and chant her name like a mantra, reminding herself who she was and why she couldn't loose that. She considered this as she stood against the wall of the gym, taking one of those moments she needed to think, breathe and clear her head. It was easy to smile and easy to be happy and so easy to make people beleive that behind the technology she was blissfully unaware of it all. The blonde hair helped a lot there, as did the big grin. They failed to fully understand how complex her thoughts could be. It was like at the Hive. They declared mortals were stupid and inferior, and not worth living. That was had to be exterminated. Those weren't Mimi's reasons. She was angry at the world, but that didn't make the common people un-exceptional. When she thought about it, she was so close to being one of those mortals in their eyes. She wasn't super strong, or super fast and she was fragile compared to them. Those creatures who dominated and ruled. But just becuase she wasn't so close to immortality didn't make her anything less. She took a breath and swung her arms above her head, standing straight and tall. She was Atermis Cassandra Agnovic, exceptionally mortal, but still exceptional. With that thought in her mind, she took a step forward and laucnhed her body forward into a series of perfectly executed frontflips across the gym. [ ]

The rain was once again pouring outside. Like some vegenece of the gods, it poured and poured untill the Lake threatened to push past the barriers and take over the school by a hostile invasion. Of course, there were those that may be able to stop that, the water elementals perhaps, or the earth benders might even be able to stop it. Of course, one such as the male that ran through the torential rain could not even hope to stop the terrible force of the overflowing lake once it got out of hand. He was not one of those terribly powerful people whom could perform such a trait. He was an energy bender, and what hope would he have against the vast expanse of water. Even the thought made him shudder. The vast depth of the lake scared him far more sucessfully than any other trivial matter, and the desire to run from the waking beast was over-powering.
With the left-over energy, Calhoun Blaire ran as fast as he could from the Boys Dormitory to the Gym. It was a short trip, but even by his standards of running, he was soaked through to the bone by the time he quietly slipped through the Gym doors. Usually most people were in the Dining Hall, eating their dinner or some other food. He had dined early then he'd returned to his room just in time to miss the rain. He had thought himself so lucky that he had evaded the rain that when boredom had struck him, and he'd sucked all the energy out of his room, he had thought of nothing better to do than to take a trip down to the Gym. It was bound to be empty with everyone either avoiding the rain, as was sensible, or eating in the Dining Hall.
It was warm in the Gym. Though the Air Conditioning was on, it was not stiflingly hot, just a nice warm room tempeature. The lights were blaring and the itch to steal the energy was almost overpowering. It wasnt until he looked up that he got slapped in the face by his hair. An inward groan escaped him as he self-consciously reached up to ruffle his own hair. Without a thought to look round the room, he lifted his t-shirt easily over his head. Though one side was completely soaking, the other was bone-dry, where the rain had been falling at such a weird angle that it only hit his back. Lifting up the dry bit, he ruffled his hair until it was concievable to be dry. The only problem was... his shirt was no soaking aswell. With an audible sigh, he launched it against the side of the Gym. It hit the wall and slide to the floor. Kicking off his shoes aswell, Cal flexed his back muscles, noticing how every inch of his skin was cold.
The slap of feet on the Gym floor. Suspision crawled in to his golden eyes as he slowly turned around. There, in the middle of the Gym, was the tiniest little girl he had ever seen, executing the most amazing flips. A grin quickly lightened his expression as she landed a difficult one. Stalking forward like a cat does its prey, his golden eyes gleamed as she excecuted flip after flip. Like she was made of pure energy. The impule to touch her was almost overpowering, but he restrained himself. What would she think if some strange man just walked in to the Gym, half naked and wanted to touch her to see if she was made of energy. She would surely run. So instead, he straightened up, rolled his shoulders and spoke.
"Impressive..."
He murmered, and though it was only a muttered word, it bounced round the Gym, magnified by the energy that carried it. He gave a grin, his largely muscled arms crossing to cover up the toned stomach he possessed. So sure, he was fit and everything, but he was also half-naked, and that was something he had to take in to account. An accute sense of deja vu flickered in to his mind as he thought of Tsuki, but the Moon Girl was at once pushed from his mind. Not only was this tiny dancer a good gymnast... but she looked pretty fit too. Another charming smile shaped its way across his lips as he waited for her to stop and notice him. If she didnt, he would have to join her, and show her how to work as a pair. Notes;;Word Count 766 Muse Song The Script- Breakeven Additional Notes They should SOOO work in a pair, so that he can throw her around! lol!

Mimi was in effect, only human. So she couldn't allow herself to look around as she moved, aware that if she did then she was likely to lose her balance and falter. She refused to falter. So all she was aware of as she moved gracefully acorss the gym was the world tumbling before her eyes. Upside down over and over again. As the wall approached, she shifted the power behind her momentum, her feet landing firmly on the ground. Her body leant forward slightly, almost involentarily, still forced by the flips. However she straightened up almost immediatly, stretching her arms out to the sides in a dramtic pose. Then she heard the voice.
Twiling on her heel, Mimi's eyes widened and her pony-tail slapped her in the face as she spun. She took in his appearance for a moment, a suprised expression on her face. She hadn't expected anybody to be here, let alone a hulking, half naked boy. She stared for a second in shock, and then her expression relaxed into a wide grin.
"Thanks!"
She chirped brightly, as his actual comment sank in. She grinned a little wider, thrilled with the compliment. So she wasn't the only person who thought she was good, that was nice to know. Nice wasn't really the right word, brillaint was far better suited. Filled with this delight, the tiny blonde skipped across the floor lightly in order to reach the male. She stopped a meter or so away, and grinned up at him. He was tall, but compared to Mimi; everyone was tall.
"Any special reason why you've decided to throw your clothes across the room?"
She questioned suddenly, flicking her gaze towards the bundled up garment by the wall before her eyes danced back to him. First to the body he tried to sheild with his arms and then back to his face. She titled her head slightly to the side, her bright eyes full of questioning laughter. Oh, she was happy now.

She really did know how to move, this tiny dancer. It bought a grin to his face to watch the contours of her body move swiftly round the room without pause or hesitation, like she was born that way and it wasnt just a skill she had acquired. She moved so fluidily and gracefully that Cal couldnt help but stare at her. His smile deepened, however, as the little girl stopped dead, absorbing the impact of hitting the ground at a dead standstill without falling over. She truely had control of this element, maybe even to match his. However, from the way she moved, he could tell straight away that she was only human. It made him smile to think that she could move like the rest of them, without using supernatural gifts. So sure, his was fuelled by the energy, but he would never be able to flip like that on his own.
"Thank you also..."
He murmered, though this time it remained a whisper. Panic at once gripped him. He had lost some of the energy. He was like an energy junkie and he was late for his next fix. Lifting a finger, he stole the energy from the floodlights outside. The lights went blank outside, while it stayed bright in the room. For a moment, his fingers glowed, before he passed it up his body like a pulse to his eyes. His eyes hummed gently and his fingers twitched as the energy coursed through him, making a full circet around his body and back up to his eyes. A small chuckle evaded his lips as she asked about his lack of shirt, or in that direction anyway.
"Have you ever tried to move properly in a shirt that is stuck like glue to you?"
He asked, his voice full of laughter. At once, he got the image of the girl, standing in the rain with her clothes plasted to her body--. He cut the thought there before he let himself get out of hand. He was known for letting his thoughts fly loose, and that was one thought he really didnt need to let go. A soft, puppy grin flickered over his lips as he moved, faster than lightening itself. He launched himself across the room, rebounding off the wall, flipping in mid air and landing closer to the girl that he had before. He could feel the heat coming off of her, and he almost touched her. He didnt need another fix, but her energy was tempting. Holding his hand back, he grinned gently.
"Who are you? And where did you learn to move like that? You're amazing!"
His voice was once again but a murmer. It was strange how one such as him, who was always full of energy one way or another, could have a voice as soft as velvet itself. However, as it rebounded back to him, he knew that the effect had lessened a little. At once, he cut the energy so it stayed in his eyes, then waited for her answer. She seemed an intriging person, one he would love to stay and talk to all night. At that thought, the rain lashed down harder on the Gym roof, a roar against the would-be silence. A shiver ran up his spine. He would soon have to go back out in that, and god help him when he did. Notes;;Word Count 569 Muse Song Various Additional Notes Bless him! ^-^

The question he posed was a rhetorical one, she knew that. However, a question was a question and Mimi normally felt compelled to answer them. So her mind was thrown back, somersaulting through her memory to recall certain incidents. She shifted through them in a matter of seconds, and then nodded her head in confimation.
"Yup, I have. Assault courses don't take weather into account. Besides, most of them involve water-pits and crawling through mud, which has a tendency to soak into clothes...."
She trailed off with a shrug, still grinning widely. Mimi was quite happy to crawl through mud, she didn't care too much about dirt. She parted her lips to speak again, and then the boy before her moved. He moved so fast and so suddenly, she could hardly track his movements. Her eyes were wide, and her lips were parted slightly, shaped into an 'oh'. When he landed before her she blinked, and then laughed.
"Woah! How did you do that? If you think I'm amazing then you're... You're... I can't even think of the words!"
She exlaimed, her voice bright with emotion. It was a stark contrast to his velvet murmurs, but Mimi had no interest in lowering her voice, not when she'd just seen a flip like that.
"Oh, I'm Mimi. I've been taught gymnastics since I could walk. My dad always had big plans for me, and where I grew up agility is a valued quality. But I've trained for years and I couldn't pull off that flip like you did. You were... wow."
It was hard to take Mimi's words away, but it seemed this male had. She couldn't think of the words to describe him.
"Wow."
She repeated softly, smiling.

There was something about this girl that made him want to stay. He wanted to know everything he could about her. Where she came from, who were her parents. Did she have a good childhood. Why did she come here, what could she do? And then there were the trivial questions, like what was her real name, what was her favourite colour and what did she prefer to eat. All of these question took leverage of his mind as the words filled his head. Something about crawling through mud, agility courses and water-pits. At once, the questions were over-ruled by the image of this tiny dancer crawling through an assault course. It was like trying to imagine Barbie with Ken's clothing on, but a smile still flickered over his lips again.
"Well, I guess the weather was feeling mean that day..."
He said, once again his voice ringing out. It wasnt his fault this time however, for he had allowed no energy to enter his voice. It was full of laughter and teasing, and as he watched her face change from happy to surprised, he gave a chuckle himself. He could do so much more than that. That was just a little thing he did, like twitching in class. If he had the room in class, he could have done something along those lines in terms of unboring himself. But since he couldn't, he preferred to mess with the teachers and steal the energy slowly from the room so that first the lightbulbs flickered and went out, then the electronic whiteboards flickered out of existance. It gave him great pleasure to watch as they got frustrated, but that was nothing compared to the suprise on this little females face. He almost reached out to touch the 'oh' shape of her mouth, but restrained himself at once.
"Mimi..." He whispered, twisting the name round in his head. It suited her perfectly, and it made his name seem inadequate. "Though my name isnt as chirpy as yours, you can call me Cal. And your dad must be a good person, if he wants great things for you..."
His voice raised an octave as he realised what his voice must have sounded like. He was so used to dulling it down, that he didnt realise what a weirdo he sounded most of the time. It made perfect sense to think of his voice as strange. Come on. If some strange person walked in to the Gym and started speaking to you in a velvety soft whisper, you'd be pretty freaked out. But as it seemed, Mimi seemed most unpreterbed by his voice, so he pushed it aside. The praise she gave him allowed red hot tendrils to escape up the base of his neck and to his cheeks. What made it worse, was his neck was completely visable, like the rest of his torso. Shaking his head as if to get rid of something, he turned his glittering eyes back to Mimi.
"Want me to teach you?"
He said, the teasing tone laced with challenge. She could do it... he knew she could. All he had to do was drug her on energy, and she could move in perfect symphony with him. It was a perfect plan. But he would have to do it so that she didnt notice the influx of energy, or was blonde enough to put it down as adreniline. Perhaps getting her over to the wall so he could lift her up would do the trick. He stopped his plotting, cocking his head and waiting for her answer. It wasnt as if he was plotting her death or anything... And the male was surprised he had managed to stay on topic as yet. He was usually one to change to subject twelthty times in a conversation and get laughed at for it. But not this time... this time, his tiny dancer held his conncentration. He was fascinated by her. How could she be so small?

"Cal huh?"
She repeated, pursing her lips slightly as she studied the male before her. She rolled the name around in her mind for a while, her expression smooth as she considered it. Then she smiled again.
"Cal. I like it. And my dad's awesome. Tough as nails and shouts a lot, but he's great. Let's me blow up the shed a lot. I re-build it, but y'know, the point still stands!"
She said with a laugh, dropping her gaze to the floor for a moment before she raised it to his face again. She noticed the colour flushing his cheeks, and had to bite her lip to stop herself laughing. She had a feeling that laughing would only deepen the colour, and though she was quite intruiged by the idea of that shade of his skin, she also had the suspicion he wasn't partial to blushing infront of people. Most people didn't. So she bit back her laughter, and just smiled.
"Teach me?"
She repeated, with a tone of mild disbelief in her words. Did he really think she could be taught to do those feats. Mimi nibled on her lower lip as she gazed up at him, trying to read his expression. He seemed confident enough. Maybe she could do it... If not, what was the worse that could happen? She'd fall down. Big deal. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled softly and the nodded her head.
"I'm all yours."
She declared, holding out her hands palm up towards him, a smile on his lips.

She seemed to chew over his name for a moment. At that point, a completely irrational feeling swept through him. What if she didnt like his name? The thought was pathetic and stupid, but it seemed as if all this girl thought was all that mattered to him. At this point in time, he wasnt in love with her, but there was something about her that fascinated him. He knew that perhaps he would never see her again, and thats what made this meeting all the more special. He might as well make the most of it while he had the chance. As she spoke about her father, and the fact that she liked his name, the grin broke out further across his face. It was beating back the bluch from his cheeks at least, and for that he was grateful.
"He sounds pretty cool..."
He said, though this was more of a reminiscent wish. He knew that his father would never do anything for him. The only one who gave a damn about him was his mother, and she was probably dead anyway. It bought a little pucked between his eyebrows to think of her, so he turned his glittering gaze to the tiny girl in front of him. He studied her for a moment as she seemed to consider his previous proposition, but as she made up her mind, showing him so by offering both her hands to him, the smile deepened. Shutting off the energy to his hands, he took both of hers in his. Hers dwarfed his by far, and it seemed that he could have wrapped both of hers in one of his, but he didnt care.
"Okay, here's the basis of it. You have to slow down time so that the wall is material. It doesnt matter than it is solid, all you have to do it tilt gravity, run up the wall as though you're running along the ground and back-flip off of it, just the same as when you're on the ground. So basically, you have to bend gravity and backflip off the wall. Sound good to you?"
He said, his voice full of teasing. He knew that his explanation would probably leave her confused. Since he hadnt mentioned the part about having enough energy to run fast up the wall and launch yourself off, he would have to trust that she would trust him. Taking her hands in his, he tugged her over to the wall. He touched the wall gently with on of his hands as he let her left hand go, though he held on to her right hand. Pulling her closer to him, he leaned down, whispering gently in to her ear.
"Trust me not to drop you?" He asked her, then straightened up and gazed at her again. He finally let her other hand drop, but it lingered closer to her body than his own. He quickly figured out how he was going to do this. "If you'll let me, im going to lift you up. All you have to do is put your feet against the wall. I'll hold you up but putting my hands on your shoulder blades, and you will stay at a horizontal right angle to the wall. Okay?"
He told her, explaining what he was going to do. He refrained from telling her that when she was in this position, he planned on giving her a little more energy so that she could run further up the wall and backflip off. Still, that part would be fun, right?

Mimi listened to his words and blinked. That wasn't the normal approach. It was strange to hear talk like that. She wasn't fighting anything. She'd been taught about fighting gravity and pain, and here he was talking about a much gentler approach to it all. She looked down at the hands wrapped around hers as she inhaled, trying to adjust her thoughts and movements to his style.
"Okay..."
She said slowly, letting him lead her across the room towards the wall. She felt a little annoyed when his hand dropped from hers, but she soon forgot about that as he leant in closer. Her breath caught, and she sturggled to remember how to breath as he whispered in her ear. All she managed to do was nod slowly, her eyes fixed on him. She released the breath caught in her throat with regret as he leaned away again, and resisted the urge to pout as he dropped her other hand. She listened to his words and then nodded again.
"I trust you.
She said softly, knowing the words to be true. She shifted her body closer to his, increasing her proximity to him and the wall. She was a little nervous, but she did trust him. If she fell, she was sure he would catch her.
"Okay, let's do this!"

It would be all too easy to get lost in this world. Hiding out in Gym's teaching Mimi weird and wonderful ways to impress her friends. He could quite happily spend the rest of his day in here with her, trying to teach her how to run up walls. Of course, that would defeat the purpose, because sooner or later, she was bound to get this trick. Well then, he would have to show her another, equally imposiible trick that would astound and amaze her. Then she would have to stay here so that she could learn whatever he had to show her. He was becoming more and more territorial as he spent some time with her. There was something about her that he thought needed protecting, and dang was he going to protect her. However, as she gave him her word about trust, he gave a grin.
"Ready..."
He asked, but before she had chance to answer, ducked down and knocked her off her feet, catching her just behind the knees, his other hand tightly round her back. For a moment, he considered staying there, just holding her against him. At the moment, he wasnt touching any of her skin, so he couldn't boost her energy, but he didnt care. Glancing down at her, he felt reluctance to move her. But it would be a bit strange, considering all she wanted to do was learn this trick. With an inward sigh, he pulled her closer, then let her touch her feet to the wall. Once she was secure against the wall, he let go of her legs, swiftly moving his hands up her back so that both his hands were on her shoulder blades. He supported her weight easily, without much effort on his part.
"Set..."
He murmered, his hands itching to move back down to her waist. He restrained himself, keeping his hands where they were. The only part of his that moved once she was in place was his right index finger, that moved up to touch the skin on the back of her neck. Slowly, he let go a tiny bubble of energy. It wasnt much, and couldnt have been detectable. Once that had settled, he let go another bubble, and then another until the skin on the back of her neck was glowing gently, almost like his. Satisfied that he hadnt been caught, he shifted his hands slightly, then leaned up to whisper in her ear once again.
"Go!"
He said, and though he didnt remove his hands, he gave the tiny dancer a little shove forward, Hopefully, the combined force and the energy would propell her forward. Then again, hopefully she had the right amount of sense to backflip before she got to the cieling... he may not be able to catch her from that height.

Mimi gasped with suprise as the floor suddenly vanished from beneath her. When he said he'd lift her, she assumed he'd just take ahold of her waist and lift her like that, she didn't expect herself to be quite literally swept off her feet. Mimi told herself it was the suprise that made her breath unsteady as he held her close to his bare torso, but even so she didn't trust herself to speak. She just stared up at him wordlessly. She was suprsingly content in the embrace, and felt a stab of disappointment as he moved her to stand against the wall. Mimi glanced up at the ceiling and was grateful for the hands supporting her shoulderblades.
She was a little nervous, she had to admit. She took a breath and tried to focus. She would be fine, it would be fine. It would be fun... At the last thought, she felt a tingle of excitment run through her. She could feel the back of her neck tingling, and suddenly she decided that there was no need to be nervous. She could do this. She was going to do this. Energy infused her limbs, and as Cal pushed against her shoulderblades, Mimi did the impossible; she ran up the wall. As the ceiling apporached, Mimi inhaled and then kicked herself away from the wall.
She curled her body up into a tight ball, and rolled through the air a few times before her body straightened out once more. She suceeded in one perfect mid-air backflip to accompany the backwards roll, before she landed perfectly on her feet, arms rasied above her head. She was perfectly still for a moment, then a grin broke out on her face.
"I did it!"
She exlaimed in pure delight.
"I did it!"
She laughed and ran towards Cal, throwing herself upon the male with a warm, exubarant hug. She actually had to jump to get herself high enough to wrap her arms around his neck. Not that that matter, Mimi was full of energy. She just clung to the male in delight at her achievement, feet not touching the ground.

She seemed to fidget and wriggle in his hands as she itched to move. The energy seemed to have the righ effect on her, and as the shove pushed her away from him, she ran in a perfect line up the wall. She was nearing the ceiling and Cal held his breath. When she had launched from his hands, he had take several steps back, ready to catch her if she were to fall. However, even as he watched, she launched herself from the wall, tumbling in the air. He was mesmerised for a moment, before he realised that she was falling. Did she need help? Was she going to crash land in to the floor.
Cal mentally scolded himself for not having that much faith in her. As she neared the floor, she pulled out of the tumbling and landed like a cat on her feet. It was like she had floated down, with much more grace than he had shown. Like she was a natural at this. He didnt have much time to think about it as she launched herself across the gym, screaming about the fact that she'd done it. Without a conscious thought, his arms wrapped around her waiste, holding her tight against him as she fit perfectly against his body. It wasn't like either of them thought about it. His head rested on her as he held her gently, but tight at the same time.
"I knew you would"
He murmered gently. He was reluctant to let her go, and he almost didn't. But he realised how strange it would seem, stood in the middle of the Gym, holding the tiny dancer against him with all his night, while trying not to break her. With a forced motion, he lifted his head, untangled his arms from round her waiste and lifted her down so that her feet touched the floor again. A challenging alighted in his eyes as he glanced at the lights. Letting a finger touch the tip of her nose, he gave a cheeky smile, before he let the energy in his eyes go. Once again he ran up the wall, but as he reached the ceiling, he carried on going. With a powerful leap, he hung off on of the lamp shade. The impact of the hit made the lampshade swing backwards and forward. Once he was happy that he had got enough swing, he let go.
For a moment, he fell in mid-air. A laugh escaped him as he tucked himself up like Mimi had, tumbling in the air. Once he was a few metres away from the floor, he stayed upright, touched the floor and bounded back up again. Once again he touched the floor, then as he darted forward, his hands closed around Mimi's waist. The force dragged the forward with him, and he soon bundled her against his chest. Glancing down, he smiled gently.
"Gotcha"

Him wrapping his arms around her waist was a natural reaction. She had flung herself upon him, and her tiny stature meant she was in need of the extra support. She had expected a reaction of that manner, but the strength of his arms still took her by suprise. It occured to her then it had been quite some time since she'd actually hugged somebody. She'd forgotten just how wonderful a simple hug could be. She had her friends, but they weren't really the type of friends you could ask for a cuddle when you needed a lift, or just wrap your arms around when you were happy. She smiled and held him just that little bit tighter, thrilled with his words of confidence. She was slightly suprised by how comfortable she was in his arms. Mimi was tempted just to cling to him, to not let go. However, she allowed their limbs to untangle and just released a soft sigh as her feet touched the floor. She tilted her head back in order to keep her eyes on the males face, a smile touching her lips.
However, as he tapped her nose gently she gace a soft giggle, her smile growing into a grin. She watched in wonder as he moved with his unhuman grace and speed, craning her head back to watch him sprint up the wall and across the ceiling. She gasped in amazment as he swung from the lamps, admiring his prowess. Part of her wished she could acomplish such feats, but she also knew that it was humanly impossible. Then suddenly he was tumbling and bouncing around like he was Tigger. The imagery of it all, made Mimi laugh loudly. Cal was as far away from a cartoon character as there could be really.
Before she could fully understand how it happened, Mimi found herself leaving the ground again. She gasped in suprise, and then giggled. She trusted him, and his arms and was entirely content to be held against his broad chest. She wrapped her arms around his torso as they sprung from the ground; errupting into a fit of giggles she couldn't even try to control.
"You... Are... Crazy!"
She managed to gasp out between her laughter, before it consumed again. She was having so much fun!

The feel of the girl in his arms was perhaps something Cal couldnt quite describe. It felt good to have her there, safe and sound in the comforting tent of him. But then, was it really natural for him to be picking her up and throwing her around like they had known each other for years? She wasnt his, and he shouldnt be acting like he owned her and therefore could do as he pleased with her. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to let her go. Together, they ran around the gym, her in his arms, with her arms wrapped round his torso, head against his chest. It felt perfectly normal to be just running, not having a care in the world. His head snapped down as she called him crazy, a grin flashing across his face.
"Oh yes...!" He exclaimed, then poked his tongue out. "Are you telling me that you're not?"
His voice was light and airy again, though his golden eyes shone, teasing the girl in his arms. Soon enough, however, he felt his energy begin to fail him. And for once, he resisted the urge to steal the energy from the girls body. He also resisted the urge to take it from the room. Perhaps if he could keep his power from her, then maybe he could be called halfway normal. A smile flickered to his eyes at the thought of that. Normal!
Making one final circuit around the gym, Cal came to a standstill in the middle of the gym. For a moment, he gazed at Mimi, considering putting her down. A wicked smile now replaced the last one that had held his lips attention, before he folded in on himself and sat down. He rested the girl on his crossed legs, leaning back on his hands so that she was free to move, though still sat on his lap. Almost without thinking, he reached up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear.
"What can you do Mimi?"
He asked, his tones casual and easy. It was like she just clicked with him, like they were meant to meet each other because they were two souls that fit perfectly together. Still, for his credit, Cal didnt think about love. He didnt want to be one of those people that fell in love straight away. It was just, being with Mimi was so easy, so natural that he couldnt help but marvel at her. She was beautiful... But he wasn't going to let himself get distracted by the beauty on his lap. It might end in disaster.

She couldn't answer him, even though the right answer was to assure him they were both utterly mad. Instead, she could only giggle in delight as she was rushed around the room. Giggle and cling to him like her life depended on it. Which, judging by the speed they were moving at could be the truth. Well, perhaps not death but there was a good chance of injury. Mimi didn't want to break an arm or sprain her wrist, it would cause havoc with her work.
As reluctant as she was for this to end, she had to wonder where he energy reached it's limits. He'd been charging around the place like a bat out of hell, and didn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing. It was impressive, but it also raised questions in the blonde's mind. However, as they rose, Cal droppped. Mimi blinked as they came to a standstill, and then a yelp of suprise slipped free as they suddenly ended up on the floor. The impact was absorbed by Cal's body, and Mimi only felt the gentlest of thuds, but it still suprised her. Cal kept suprising her.
She stayed on his lap even though he'd removed his hands and gave her free reign on her movements. She was comfortable there. She managed to stop giggling too, lapsing into silence with enough time to catch his words.
"I'm an inventor. Good with my hands. I can build anything, and take stuff apart too. It's nothing special, but it's what I do..."
She trailed off with a shrug. Her words were a little breathless, an after affect of the so recently defeated giggle fit. Sighing softly, she leant back so her body rested against his chest.
"What about you? How do you move so damn fast, eh?"

His tiny dancer stayed on his lap, much to his pleasure. She could sit on him for as long as she pleased, and he wouldn't get bored. So sure, he'd probably start twitching and stuff, but what the heck. He itched to touch her again, to stroke her back or something equally as comforting, but he restrained himself. He was not going to allow himself to develop unresonable feelings for this girl. She was just some girl he'd met in the gym... Or so he tried to tell himself. The fact that she could hold his attention for this long was amazing. He would usually have wandered off after he had taught her the trick, but she had some invisible hold over him that neither of them had anticipated. When she spoke of what she could do, a flicker of surprise crossed his face.
"Wow! That is so cool! Inventing things must be so good!"
He exclaimed. It was perhaps every guys dream to be able to invent and build anything you could. His power was perhaps weak against hers, because he would much rather have the ability to invent anything. A grin flickered across his face as he gazed at her. How on earth could she do all that? You know, build cars and what not. She was so small, he could pick her up and throw her about, because she was that small. He marvelled at her for that, and the smile deepened.
"Me? Well, nothing as useful as you... I control energy, as you may have guessed by now..."
He said, and as if to prove a point, he lifted a hand, clicked his fingers and blinked as the Gym was plunged into total darkness. Though he could feel Mimi on his lap, he could no longer see her. Quickly manipulating the energy up his arms and to his eyes, he gazed at her, his eyes glowing immensly. For a moment, he sat in darkness, before he let the energy go with another snap of his fingers. The bright light stung his eyes, but he was glad he could see Mimi again.
"See... Its good for pissing off the teachers!"
He said, teasing once again in his tones. He was enjoying himself, and he wasnt about to end this happy moment. A grin flashed in her direction once more, before he leant back, taking Mimi with him. She was leant on his chest, as he leaned back far enough to end up laying down, he was careful enough not to let her fall. As if to make sure, he carefully put an arm over her back to make sure she stayed where she was.

Mimi laughed softly at his words. It seemed it was mostly the males in the school who appriciated her talent, the girls weren't normally impressed. The guys however, were enthralled if not a little jealous of the way Mimi worked with cars. It seemed Cal went in with that crowd, but his words still made her smile.
"Yeah, it's fun. Come is handy, for sure!"
She didn't mention the fact that most of her handiwork went into the Hive, where it would be used to destroy and kill. A sudden shudder rippled up her spine as she suddenly saw that there was a chance she would be fighting Cal. It was so strange to be sat there with him, when she could be holding a gun to his head at a single word from Hebi or Wraith. She shook her mind free of those thoughts, deciding she wouldn't think of that uncertain future. She was staying in the present.
"You control energy? How does that wo-"
Her words were cut off with the lights. She couldn't see a thing, and was very grateful that she had decided to stay sitting on Cal's lap. She could still feel him, and if she didn't have that she would have been tempted to reach out a grab his hand. It wasn't that she was afriad of the dark, it was more to do with how suddenly the light had gone. No warning, just vanished. It unsettled her a little. But she stayed silent, and soon she calmed down again. Just in time for the lights to return.
"So that's how it works..."
She said with a slight smile, blinking rapidly as she re-adjusted to the light. She shifted slightly, to grin at the male. She giggled softly as he leant back, taking her with him so she was lying across his torso. She rested her chin on his chest as he wrapped an arm over her back.
"I bet the teachers really love you, what with your love of plunging unsuspecting people into darkness and all..."
She teased, poking him on the chest gently with one finger.

Impressing people had never really been much of a passtime for Cal. Sure, he was an energy junkie, he needed- no, wanted the energy to keep him going. But it had never occured to him that he could use his powers to make something pretty, or impress someone. In this case, the girl curled up against his chest, the girl who had his heart racing. His arm was wrapped securly round her back so that she would not fall off, though he could sense he giggles as she spoke, then stopped when the lights went out. Before then, he hadnt ever thought he would enjoy being in the gym and actually meeting someone there. Sure, Tsuki was great and everything, but she was just a friend. He was sure that whatever Mimi was, he wanted her as more than just a friend. However, Cal didnt let himself accept these feeling. He would not let himself get away with feeling those things.
"Oh yes... the teachers sure do have fun when im around!"
He said, his voice full of laughter. As it was, Mimi seemed fairly impressed by his skills... with elecrtricity that is. Considering it for a moment, he thought about how easy it was for him to manipulate the energy around him. Taking a deep breath so that Mimi rose and fell with him, he sat up again, leaning on his elbows so that she could stay where she was. On the floor, his finger twitched once upwards. The lights went out again, and his eyes quickly began to glow. However, he didnt keep it there for long, as he allowed a bauble of energy to run down his arm and out of his finger. Instead of sending it back to the light bulb it had come from, he kept it air-bourne.
In the air, hung a globul of bright yellow light. To him, it was a material, a metal that was to be shaped or otherwise got rid of. His eyes moving quickly, he began to shape it to the picture in his mind. It was just like working with metal. The energy softened and loostened, using its own exothermic energy to heat itself. Soon enough, it was stretched in a line before him, a few feet in the air. It was a thin line though, and that wasnt what he wanted at all. Blinking once, he began to shape it, allowing it to twist and turn gently in the air like a snake in the heat of the sun. He worked quickly, trying to make it so that Mimi would not see the finished product until it was ready. At last, he was satisfied with the shape, and finally, he sent a last ball of energy to set it twinkling brighter than it had before. In the air, hung a word.
'Mimi'
The first 'm' was elegently carved, thick lines making it up. The curvy writing was much the same as his own, as he had found with making energy imprints. The rest of the letters were smaller and neater. The last flick of the first M curved under the whole name, curling round to elegently underline the name. Once he was satisfied that he had got it correct, he allowed it to rise slowly above them, further and further up till it almost touched the ceiling. He was tempted to make some more shaped, but stopped himself... too much stuff would only dazzle her.
"For you..."
He murmered, gazing up at her name with a smile on his face. The image of the yellow name hanging in the air against the dark canvas of the gym was something he might not ever forget.

Mimi kept her head resting on his chest, using his torso as her own personal pillow. It was nice and comfortable there, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing. The sound of his heartbeat was now her own personal soundtrack as it thumped beneath her ears. The blonde gave a little wriggle of satisfaction, shifting her slight frame into a better position. She had just got herself perfectly settled, when he moved. At first, she was tempted to slap him gently on the chest and push him back down so she could stay where she was, and then she realised that he wasn't actually going anywhere. Secure in the knowledge that she still had her pillow for the moment, Mimi sighed happily.
She laughed softly as he stole the light once more, but now she was a lot calmer about the entire ordeal. It seemed light-theivery was one of Cal's hobbies. She raised her eyebrows in a silent question and then realised he couldn't actually see that action. Her lips parted to pose the question, and then she saw the bright ball suspended in the air, and she stayed silent; fascinated by the object before her.
She turned her face to try and make out Cal's visage in the darkness, but hard as she tried she couldn't make out the expression on his features. Pouting slightly, she turned back to the airbourn energy and gasped at what she saw.
Mimi
It was beautiful. It was stunning and sparkling and sensational and super and all manner of adjectives begining with the letter 'S' and plenty more besides that. For a few moments she was rendered speechless, she couldn't do anything but stare in wonderment.
"For me."
She repeated, as if she were trying to find the truth in such a statement. She was still for a moment, one finger tracing the letters in the air, a smile evident on her lips.
"Thank you, Cal."
She repeated, and although the words were simple the sincerity in them was impossible to ignore. She squeezed his torso tightly in a hug, trying to show him how happy she was now that the words had failed her.
ooc: terrible, sorry.

He was cold. Goosbumps had rushed over his bare torso like a rash that wouldn't go away, while he tried to control his shaking arms. The tiny dancer on his lap, and evidently draped across his torso, was warm, but he was still cold. The rain that thundered down from the heavens only suceeded in making him shake even more. However, with some inhuman effort, he managed to stop his shaking, his attention on the energy cast 'Mimi' hanging in the air. It was a pretty little trinket, one which he didnt want her to lose. She could keep it, if she wanted. Without much thought to how he did it, Cal cast protection round the energy. Mimi could pick it up whenever she wanted to, if she wanted to.
"Keep it... its yours"
He said, allowing it to float back down to them and land on the floor, a glowing pool in the darkened hall. It would never lose any light, because it was pure energy, encased in something similar to plastic. It didnt use up or lose any energy, and therefore would remain bright forever. A small smile flickered across his lips at the obviously delight of the girl on his lap. However, the lights had far from faded outside and he knew it was time to leave. The smile quickly flickered away. Wrapping his arms tightly around her, he stood up, making sure she didnt slip away from him. Once he was stood, he set her on to the ground, though he still held on to her.
"Will I see you again?"
He asked, his head rested on top of hers so that it made it hard for him to speak. He knew he would see her again, but whether she wanted to see him again was a different matter. Giving her one last squeeze, he released her. He reached down, hooking a finger under her chin and pulling it up so that he could gaze in to her eyes. He searched hers for any notion of doubt while he waited for her answer, his torso once again flashing with goosbumps.
